  • To count up to 20.
  • To write numbers at least up to 20.
  • To add up to 10 two natural numbers together in connecting two group items.
  • To subtract two natural numbers by classifying them in groups (for example: we subtract 7 apples from 2 apples, resulting in 5 apples left).

  • To name the two-dimensional geometrical figures; square; triangle; circle; rectangle.

  • To describe the location of an object, referring to a different target of daily life (before-after; down-up; over-under; near-far; etc).
  • To move in certain directions, oriented by the words (in front; straight; felt; right; behind the door; near the chair; under the table; etc).

  • To compare object measures in using non-standard unit  (apple, pencil, books, toys, toy scale) and expressions: more heavy than; as heavy as; more light than…. (for example; the bag is more heavy than the apple, etc.)

  • To rank the words that shows the time flow:  morning; lunch; afternoon; evening; night.

Artistic Education Program

Content by Concentration:

I.  Drama

The drama program for this age, has the purpose is to:

  • Develop interpretation abilities.
  • Develop communication abilities through language and actions.
  • Consolidate the recognition of cultural and social traditions.
  • Evaluate different performances, through reflection and constructive criticism.

Through understanding and interpretations of different performances the students will learn:

  • To explore different themes to be able to set them to the stage;
  • To develop creative thinking during interpretation;
  • To solve the problems faced during interpretation;
  • To use a simple language for children;
  • To use their imagination in performances;
  • To explain the behavior of different characters and how they change;
  • To explain how drama works and to realize the creative aspects of art.  

II. Music

The music program for these ages aims to include a range of experiences which are developed by:

  • Musical imagination (the ability to distinguish sounds from noises, or vocal sounds from each other),
  • Understanding of musical knowledge (the ability to understand musical concepts),
  • Participation in musical events (their experience through creation, expression, listening, and musical improvisation).

Musical activities during kindergarten program should:

  • Develop the ability to distinguish natural and musical sounds, in their environment and abroad;
  • Explain their connection with their music in class, home and community;
  • Enrich their knowledge of music for children, folk, classical, etc;

III. Visual Arts

The program of visual arts for these ages intends:

  • To include and assure to the child how to use the materials, tools, different processes to establish the ideas, feelings, identity and their imagination.

For better development on this program it’s important that children are given opportunities:

  • To develop the ability of perception;
  • To use tools, materials and different techniques during creation;
  • To explain the role of visual arts and its impact at home, class environment, society;
  • To explore the role of visual images in the environment and daily their lives;
  • To evaluate and maintain creative attitudes toward visual art through discussions and visualization.

IV. Dancing

The dancing program of artistic education for these ages intends:

  • To encourage children to understand dance in general, by learning various dances:

Children reach:

  • To discover, reflect upon, and perform the various dances that they learn.

Through this program children will be given opportunities:

  • To participate in different dances;
  • To dance in an expressive way, by watching themselves and others during the dance;
  • To evaluate the connection between the dance in class and dance at home and the community;
  • To develop skills in order to evaluate a dance through visualization, reflections and discussions.
